Founded by the Espitalier-Noël family which has been very much involved in sugarcane cultivation for nearly two centuries, the ENL Group has retained its place at the forefront of the economic, social and entrepreneurial development of the country. At present one of the biggest conglomerates of Mauritius, with assets of Rs 30 billion, it employs over 5 600 people in 150 companies.
Five divisions make up the group: ENL Property, ENL Commercial, ENL Investment, ENL Lifestyle and ENL Agribusiness. The group director is Hector Espitalier-Noel, while Johan Pilot is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ENL Property which handles the real estate activities of the group.
ENL Commercial Corporate Services, Investment and Agribusiness all have vast commercial interests. For example, ENL Investment holds an important share in the Rogers Group (60%), the Eclosia Group, BeachcomberHotels, the automobile business and the Michelin, HP, KFC, Hertz and Jumbo dealerships.
ENL is also present in the construction sector, as well as in information and agricultural technologies, including sugar cane production.
In recent years, ENL has reinforced its real estate development poles through ENL Property. At present the group is involved in several residential and commercial developments as well as high- end business parks around the country, destined to a local and international clientele.
The Bel Ombre Sugar Estate is the real estate and agribusiness branch of the Rogers Group, one of the most important conglomerates in Mauritius, and whose main shareholder is none other than the ENL Group. The company was founded over a century ago and has made an important contribution to development in the south west of Mauritius. CSBO has diversified its activities over the years, moving from sugar cane monoculture to a portfolio of varied activities that now include agribusiness, real estate and leisure.
Bel Ombre Sugar Estate owns the whole of the Domaine de Bel Ombre, which extends over more than 2 500 hectares. It is on this land that the residential development of Villas Valriche is situated, in line with the vast programme whose aim is to transform the Bel Ombre region into an upmarket residential and touristic destination. This reorientation also includes a hotel and golfing attractions as well as other complementary developments useful to the region.
The ENL and Rogers groups are both listed on the stock exchange and are key players in the Mauritian economy, especially through their strong presence in the sectors of agriculture, real estate, the hotel industry, logistics, airlines, financial services and commerce. Rogers, in particular, has been involved for decades in commercial exchanges between Mauritius, Europe and Africa as well as the Far East.

Anton de Waal
Anton has been co-CEO of the Villas Valriche development since its inception and oversees all of its activities. He holds an M.Sc.in Engineering and MBA degrees from the University of Cape Town and spent the first part of his career in senior and general management positions in commodity production and marketing companies in Southern Africa.
Dominic has held the post of co-CEO of Villas Valriche since July 2015. He is also the CEO of the IRS development of La Balise Marina in Black River. He possesses a Diploma in Business, specialising in Finance, from the Grande Ecole de Commerce in Paris.
Thierry holds a Diploma in Building Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) registered with the global project management institute (PMI). He gained experience since 1994 as a site manager in two different construction companies before setting up his own company in Project Management and Quantity Surveying services in 2004. Thierry joined ENL in June 2016 as Operations Manager.
Mikaël Le Luron
Mikaël joined the ENL group in October 2016 as Head of Marketing for the property cluster for which he manages the developments of Villas Valriche. Holding a masters in marketing and management from the I.S.EG in Toulouse (France), he started his career as Marketing Consultant in internationally renowned communication and advertising agencies in Paris. Prior to his position at ENL, Mikael spent 13 years as Marketing Manager and e-business Manager of Beachcomber Hotels in Mauritius.
