A rare occurrence in the golf world: Heritage Golf Club’s impressive course, Le Château, has been voted Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Course for the 8th year in a row since 2014 at the World Golf Awards in Dubai in October 2021. This is not surprising considering that the course hosts the region’s premier golf event, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, tri-sanctioned by the European Tour, Asian Tour and Sunshine Tour.
This 18-hole, par 72 championship course of 6.5km was launched in 2004 and is a favourite playground for Heritage Villas Valriche homeowners. It was designed and crafted by the renowned South African golf architect, Peter Matkovich, and sits on a 100-hectare naturally rolling landscape dotted with lakes and streams between sea and mountains.
Heritage Golf Club also has a clubhouse for socialising and relaxing. A second, equally exciting course – La Réserve – is currently under construction to the design of Peter Matkovich and Louis Oosthuizen.
Get ready for some great golfing fun!
